Corporate Event Ideas for Spring and Summer!

The weather will hopefully soon be getting warmer and everyone will want to be outdoors. For some companies this creates a problem, as they have no idea where to host their event. They want to shy away from a restaurant or bar as many do that in small groups through-out the year! The challenge lies in finding a unique location and ensuring guests get there on time and want to attend. This is where hiring an experienced event producer makes sense. Not only will they do the research for you, but they may even come up with ideas you never even thought about. If you are lucky enough to find an event company that is a one stop shop and can offer you catering recommendations, entertainment, teambuilding and more than you will almost guarantee the success of your event.

Here are some ideas to consider when planning your spring and summer events:

For tight budgets, a great location could be right outside of your door. Parking lots are an often-overlooked area that keeps people close to the office while offering a change of pace. A parking lot picnic can give employees a great afternoon break. Burgers and hotdogs on the grill along with corn on the cob and grilled veggies make everyone’s day. Or consider bringing in food trucks. A good planner can negotiate a flat price and find the right trucks for your demographics.

For more traditional events you can have a family picnic but put a twist to it by having a theme associated with it and finding a venue that supports it.

Another option could be to have a teambuilding event whether it’s bubble soccer, volleyball or finding a venue that can accommodate various activities to keep employees entertained.

Lastly, there is a lot to be said about cooking or painting together, or why not go to a winery to sample wines.

Whatever your company plans on doing, I think it’s worth exploring what the right event company can offer your organization even if your company has their own events committee or planners. Finding an event company that doesn’t charge a fee for their service and you have to only pay for what services you require will save you time and cost and allow for your planners to be able to enjoy the day too.
